Production Supervisor
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
12-hour Rotation
Day Shift (7am – 7pm), Lead a shift of production personnel by providing leadership, guidance and follow-through in support of the production operations plan. The focus of the job is to maximize production and improve safety and quality of the shift with the available resources. This role supervises activities of all departments by performing the following duties during a 12-hour shift. Continuously look for ways to develop the talents and improve effectiveness of plant personnel. Production Manager is responsible for these duties if the Production Supervisor is vacant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervise and provide daily guidance to shift personnel in the plant.
- Effectively communicate significant business and production issues.
- Interpret and communicate company policies to associates and enforces safety regulations and programs.
- Communicate and enforce high expectations of quality and production standards.
- Work with personnel to determine root causes of quality and safety issues.
- Effectively interact with other manufacturing departments and support groups within the organization.
- Recommends measures to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Foster and drive Lean principles using Continuous Improvement approach (i.e., Kaizen, 5s, Standard Work etc.).
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to improve safety, quality, and OEE.
- Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving their own work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate associates to achieve work goals.
- Perform administrative duties competently (i.e., ADP, ERP (LN) Inventory transactions, production reports, performance evaluations, safety investigation reports, etc.).
- Completion of special project assignments.
- Maintain vacation and timekeeping records and schedules.
- Develop talents of associates by supporting the Pay for Skills Program and Lean High Performance Work teams
- Any other duties as assigned by management.
YOU BRING THESE SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
EDUCATION:
- Associate degree, Bachelors’ degree preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute in lieu of a degree.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Two to four years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Additional education in quality, safety, mechanical or electrical areas desired
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products is desired.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts is required.
- Ability to maintain good, positive, cordial working relationships with all personnel.
- Ability to work with others in a way that elicits their cooperation and support.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and information.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
