Job Description
This position is eligible for an additional sign on bonus.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to provide strategic and hands-on HR support across employee relations, compliance, investigations, recruitment, policy implementation, and performance management. This role partners closely with leadership and employees in complex operational environments and requires an HR professional who can work effectively in detention and/or healthcare sectors while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, judgment, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an HR partner to managers and employees on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, and workplace concerns.
- Conduct and support workplace investigations and document findings and recommendations.
- Support recruitment and onboarding efforts for assigned program.
- Provide guidance on corrective action, leave administration, accommodations, and return-to-work processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws, regulations, and contract requirements.
- Maintain and audit personnel records, HR systems, and compliance files.
- Assist with policy development, communication, and implementation.
- Analyze HR data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Support audits, grievance responses, unemployment matters, and other employment-related activities.
- Travel to field sites, healthcare facilities, or secure detention environments as needed.
- Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience with strong generalist responsibility.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, investigations, compliance, and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and sound judgment.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required, advanced degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the detention and/or healthcare sectors strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting HR functions in a regulated or high-compliance environment preferred.
- HR certification such as aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- This position is considered hazardous duty.
- Required to walk unaided at a normal pace for up to 5 minutes and maintain balance.
- Required to jog/fast walk up to ¼ m
