Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team and under the direction of the supervising physician, the APP is responsible for evaluating patients, implementing physician initiated oncology treatment plans, and managing infusion related care in both oncology and non oncology populations.

Oncology treatment plans are developed and initiated by the physician. Within their scope of practice, the APP is responsible for carrying out these plans and may modify existing treatment plans as clinically appropriate, in collaboration with and under the guidance of the physician. This role supports the safe and effective delivery of chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion therapies, with a focus on clinical excellence, patient education, and care coordination. The APP functions as an independent clinical provider within their scope of practice and is expected to have a minimum of two (2) years of direct clinical experience in oncology and/or medical infusion care, enabling them to manage complex patients and infusion related treatment needs with a high degree of autonomy.
