POSITION SUMMARY

If you are proud to live in Steamboat Springs and love to share that joy-please consider a position as a Guest Service Representative/Ambassador! Must be a level 7 skier/rider and able to ski/ride in all conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assist guests in a courteous and professional manner in all areas of the base area, on the mountain and all areas of the resort

• Support ALL Steamboat Ski & Resort departments with guest crowding and disseminating operational information with emphasis on Lift Ops, Parking and Transportation Centers, Food and Beverage and Rental/Retail

• Work at all Guest Service stations such as the Welcome Center and Lost and Found, on mountain terrain, lift lines and lodges, parking lots, shuttle buses and the transportation center

• Assist Ski Patrol as needed

• Gather and disseminate mountain condition information to the public and other departments

• Provide support with special events and ski groups throughout the season

• Direct and encourage guests to provide customer comments online

• Meet and greet guests throughout the day

• Provide up to date product information to our guests

• Position requires long days working in all weather conditions

• Know, understand and abide by the Steamboat Culture Guide, Steamboat Service Excellence standards and the Steamboat Way for Ambassadors

• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong communication skills and customer service experience required

• A cheerful, friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic attitude

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Local knowledge and familiarity with Steamboat, its history, and surroundings is required

• Proficiency in smart phone usage to include navigating apps, internet, intranet, and email

• Adhere to all safety policies

• Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and
