Job Summary:
As a Machine Control Technology Champion, you will be responsible for leading and supporting all machine control operations and reporting to the Machine Control Specialist. Your role will involve troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing 2D & 3D GNSS & UTS Machine Control equipment in various field environments. You will ensure the highest level of operational efficiency and accuracy in machine control systems, contributing to the success of construction and engineering projects. #LI-KL1
Major Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and support all machine control operations globally
- Responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and installation of 2D & 3D GNSS & UTS Machine Control (GNSS) equipment in a field environment while maintaining an excellent level of productivity and customer satisfaction
- Provide on-site support and training to projects, both domestic and international
- Support a global, multi-tier training program for end users and construction management team members
- Leverage technology in creating training programs; e-Learning, social media, etc.
- Prepare surface models and train site personnel on how to prepare surface models, etc.
- Install and commission heavy equipment machine control and GNSS components
- Ensures all firmware and software is updated on all equipment at all times
- Assist the MC SME to perform research and implement cutting edge technology and industry best practice
- Support the evaluation, and implementation of new and emerging technologies
- Support the “Bechtel Machine Control Operations Center of Excellence” at BEO in Sugarland, TX.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Engineering/Technical degree and 6 years’ experience in heavy construction, involving a mix of modern instruments and
