Job Description

The scope of the Sr. Manager of Sales Operations role encompasses leading and optimizing the company's billing processes, particularly for Value-Added Services (VAS). This includes mastering billing systems, addressing and resolving billing issues through root cause analysis, and developing long-term solutions to prevent discrepancies. The role involves continuous monitoring and improvement of billing workflows within MS Dynamics, utilizing data analytics to track performance metrics and generate insights. The Sr. Manager will collaborate closely with finance and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment and will engage with senior management and key stakeholders to communicate updates and resolutions. Additionally, the role includes developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation of billing processes, issues, and resolutions.

Essential Functions

Billing Issues and Resolution:

  • Conduct research and provide feedback on billing systems, understanding the complexities of our processes.
  • Address and resolve billing issues across Value-Added Services (VAS) with a focus on accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including presenting and discussing billing issues with senior management.
  • Learn and master our billing systems to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify the underlying causes of billing issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Obsess over billing issues, ensuring that no detail is overlooked in the pursuit of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present decks in large group settings to effectively communicate billing issues and provide updates on causes and root causes.
  • Introduce improvements to efficient workflows within the MS Dynamics environment to eliminate billing issues.
  • Continuously monitor billing processes to identify recurring issues and develop long-term solutions to prevent future discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the finance and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment between billing systems and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of billing processes, issues, and resolutions to support knowledge sharing and process consistency.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to track billing performance metrics and generate actionable insights for process optimization.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in billing, sales operations, or finance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proficiency in MS Dynamics and strong understanding of Sales Operations processes.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using data analytics tools to track performance metrics and generate insights.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex billing issues and develop effective long-term solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to and engaging with senior management and large groups.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance and IT, to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives and foster a culture of billing accuracy and efficiency.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
