The Experiences Console team is looking for a Principal front end developer to work Hybrid in Raleigh NC. In this role, you will drive and implement the design, development, test, and delivery of UI features that expose the portfolio’s rich capabilities for users, while providing exceptional easy-to-use experiences. This includes developing console features using React JS primarily and its associated frameworks (ie. TypeScript, Redux / React Query, REST API, CSS, JSX, HTML, etc).
Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes (ACM) is a hybrid cloud solution that extends the value of our OpenShift container platform and other Kubernetes distributions. It does so by deploying applications, managing fleets of clusters, and enforcing configuration and security policies across the fleets in a hybrid cloud environment at scale.
As a member of the Console Development Engineering team, you will be actively collaborating in a multidisciplinary and global team on all features, that includes Product Management, Quality Engineering, DevOps, Content Services, and other development squads.
You'll need to be both creative and self-motivated, proficient in building web applications, and able to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment. Our features support the user experience vision of our interaction designers. You will have opportunities to lead features and help us improve in how we do things.

What you will do
Design, develop, test and deliver features for the ACM Console
Implement UIs with clean, responsive, and accessible Javascript, Typescript, HTML, and CSS as needed to support the design vision
Work with UX designers to bring UI designs from concept to implementation through rapid prototyping and evaluation of design ideas
Work with the supporting development teams to gather information about system APIs and help shape the data that is available for UI consumption
Consider an end-to-end user experience that spans product onboarding, usage, and support
Collaborate with peer developers, designers, and product management during brainstorming sessions, design reviews, and code reviews.
Collaboratively describe and size the work to be done and then implement the solution
Write automated tests for the continuous delivery pipeline and meet development quality objectives
Apply agile practices and ceremonies, and iterate with the team to improve your solutions
