Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as Group Demand & Portfolio Planning Senior Manager in the Group SiOP at Sunlight’s Athens premises. This role is the Global owner of the Demand Planning Process within SiOP and the co-owner of the Product Portfolio Lifecycle counterpartying PM. The Global Demand & Portfolio Planning Sr Manager is the BPO and system owner of all demand planning and portfolio management activities and is the NPD gatekeeper from the moment the projects are handed over from R&D to execution stages. The role is responsible to introduce robust demand planning processes and capabilities globally and to create and develop an outperforming team of Demand planners who will be acting as key Business Partners within their region/markets for any SC related topic.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include

  • Introduce S&OP process across Business Units and Geographies.
  • Business Partnering Global Go to Market Organization (PM, Sales, CS, R&D, Finance) answering to all “how’s” and ensuring seamless execution within Supply Chain.
  • Be the voice of the customer and go to market organization within Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Consolidate the global demand out of the several market demand reviews and ensure strategic alignment with product segmentation and placement and market dynamics.
  • Ensure x- functional alignment on the most updated (live) plan globally and vertically.
  • Global reporting and performance monitoring (Sales& profitability, OTIF, Forecasting performance, Inventory, Time to market, NPD successful launch).
  • Drive portfolio simplification and product segmentation focusing on strategic priorities and growth drivers.
  • Analyze demand trends and market dynamics and proactively identify opportunities per market/product/customer segmentation.
  • Drive strategic cost to serve and time to market reduction linking markets and commercial with SC.
  • Continuously improve forecasting performance and ensure link with financial performance and business plan/tgt.
  • Ensure stock availability through correct product/fct mix.
  • Hire, train and develop demand planners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Supply Chain planning with a specialization in Demand planning and SiOP.
  • More than 5 years’ experience in managing diverse / remote teams.
  • APICS certification is highly recommended.
  • Ability to inspire, guide, and develop team members towards achieving common goals and driving organizational success.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and financial principles to make informed, data-driven decisions that align with company objectives.
  • Focus on understanding and meeting customer needs, fostering long-term relationships, and delivering high-quality service.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders at all levels and drive alignment on key initiatives.
  • Forward-thinking approach with a focus on innovation, growth opportunities, and long-term planning.
  • Proficient in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support business objectives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes to ensure seamless integration across the entire supply chain.
  • Strong negotiation abilities to achieve optimal outcomes in contracts, partnerships, and agreements with suppliers and stakeholders.
