About the role

Yahoo Sports connects fans to the sports and fantasy games they love most, providing personalized quality content and superior fan experiences every day.

Rivals is looking for an experienced leader to be our Head of Business Operations and Strategy. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and managing the Rivals business including monetization, growth, business development, analytics, strategy and more. You will work to enhance our current offerings and spearhead the creation of new and innovative revenue streams to cater to the evolving needs of our users, subscribers, and publishers.

About the role: 

  • Grow and optimize revenue generation through business line enhancement and expansion spanning the national website, publisher network and camp series

  • Lead sales and sponsorship efforts through strong collaboration with Yahoo Sports Sales and go-to-market teams 

  • Lead business development and strategic partnership efforts including prospecting, negotiation and relationship management 

  • Manage Rivals P&L to ensure that it aligns with business planning expectations and projections 

  • Source and manage business-focused agency resources including growth marketing and CRM

  • Lead revenue operations and reporting 

  • Collaborate with business intelligence team to track, synthesize and report key business metrics to executive stakeholders

About you:  

  • BS / BA degree (MBA Preferred)

  • 10+ years of successful business operations, revenue operations and/or business development experience

  • Strong command over revenue / cost economics, sound business judgment, and clear decision-making skills

  • Exemplary interpersonal and partnership skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external partners 

  • Ability to devise and implement strategies that measurably align with business objectives 

  • Passion for sports media, consistently positive attitude, and a strong desire to win alongside teammates

The compensation for this position ranges from $140,890.00 - $306,705.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
