This role is within BD Medical Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS); which is a business unit and has a long history within BD and is rapidly expanding with the 2015 acquisition of CareFusion and 2017 acquisition of CR Bard.  BD MDS continues to be the largest, most diverse, and one of the leading growth contributors of the company.  The growth strategy is focused on maximizing the value of the expanded product and solution portfolio in both medication preparation and delivery and surgical preparation and delivery.

Within BD MDS, this role is in the U.S. region and is responsible for coordinating contracting and pricing strategies aligned with the overall MDS business objectives. This includes operating as the conduit between MDS Commercial Integration Managers, Business Analytics, Offer Development, Commercial Operations, and MDS sales teams. Reports to MDS Assoc. Dir. of Commercial Integration.

This role drives the following activities to ensure success at the product line, market, platform and business unit level:

• Primary responsibility for managing ongoing interface between Commercial Integration Manager and field sales across the MDS portfolio.

• Address all pricing and GPO tiering customer requests, create contract summaries and route through Apptus for new or renewing contracts, submit SalesForce.com cases for analytic requests, help the sales teams navigate needs and requests, and assist in RFP responses and cross references.

• Assist Sales in completing Additional Value Request (AVR) forms for presentation and approval by management.

• Manage local contract pricing life cycle (creation, maintenance and expiration) for assigned territory.

• Provide training to sales team new hires on the Commercial Integration Team, contracting, and pricing.

• Participate in the development of business strategies and pricing guidelines as requested.

Requirements:

• A BS/BA in business, science, engineering, or health care is preferred.

• 5-years or more of healthcare focused direct selling or contracting and offer development experience, demonstrating a track record of success. 

• Must have familiarity with sales reporting systems and have strong quantitative analysis skills.

• MDS product line familiarity preferred.

• Works independently/independent thinker.

• Proven ability to deliver results and lead teams collaboratively without direct reporting authority.

• Organized, process oriented, collaborative, internally motivated, action oriented, and drive for results.

• Operate from a remote location acceptable.
