Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:
Western Midstream is looking to fill the position of an Accounts Payable Specialist.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual that will be responsible for performing Corporate Accounts Payable functions. Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years accounts payable experience
• Experience working in SAP
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills
• Be a proactive self-starter with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Have strong analytical and research skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask and work towards tight deadlines
• Ability to interact outside of accounting with all levels of the organization, as well as with external business partners

• Ability to work independently and collaborate as a member of a team
• Experience in oil and gas industry is a plus

 

Responsibilities:

• Process AP payments, including remittance advices and discounts
• Handle ACH returns and returned checks
• Assist groups with invoice issues
• Record miscellaneous journal entry corrections and adjustments
• Adhere to all processes, procedures, and policies
• Assist with internal and external customer inquiries

 

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent

 

Travel Requirements:
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0-10%.

 

Work Schedule:
This position is eligible for the Monday-Thursday 9 hours, Friday 4 hours with Wednesday and Friday working from home.
