We are seeking a BR&T Manufacturing Technology Integration Manager to join our team in Portland, OR to support Fabrication Hard Metals. BR&T provides technology integration to translate and integrate cutting edge R&D technologies and materials science into Boeing Commercial Airplane products.

We are looking for a manager with experience and aptitude to lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians in several technical disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity to develop technical competency in the wide range of M&P disciplines, expertise in managing and maintaining functional disciplines and infrastructure, and team leadership.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities within multiple engineering disciplines, chemical and metallurgical laboratories

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees

  • Encourages innovation and replication into successful implementation

  • Helps keep projects supporting Fab Metals on schedule and under budget

  • Regularly reports out on project status to Fab Metals program business partners

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Portland, OR facility.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams

  • Experience leading or managing an engineering project or team

  • Experience communicating at an executive level

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry

  • 2+ years of experience managing cross functional teams for different business organizations

  • Experience working with Material & Process Engineering

  • Advanced degree
