Software Development Engineer II, Amazon

Softlines Fit team is focused in delighting our customers by helping them pick the right size for their purchases. We use data-driven techniques in providing size recommendations to our customers, and the Fit data platform is at the core of our solution.
As a software development engineer in the team, you will be a key contributor to the Fit data platform, solving problems on a massive scale with global impact, leveraging a variety of tools and resources available on AWS for Big Data and Machine Learning. You will work closely with the business and technical teams in analyses on many business problems and use your creative problem solving skills to deliver actionable output. Your work will have a direct impact to the success of the product and you will drive discussions with customers and peers while influencing the team's strategic and tactical decision-making process.

Basic Qualifications

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
