Varian is hiring for an Occupational Health Nurse at our headquarters in Palo Alto California. This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career.

What You will do:

  • You will provide general occupational health nursing activities, including health coaching
  • You will provide disability and workers compensation claims management 
  • You will work closely with employees in preventative care
  • You will provide medical surveillance (respirator, hearing, BBP) for OSHA compliance
  • You will collaborate with HR and Legal in EAP, OSHA, FML, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC

What You will have:

  • Familiarity with EAP, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEOC
  • A high level of analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong computer and database literacy
  • Extensive experience in entering and interpreting data in EMR tool Cority
  • Ability to work independently and have a full understanding of confidentiality obligations
  • Licensed Healthcare Professional (RN, PA, NP)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years Nursing experience in Emergency Room, Occupational Health or other Ambulatory Care setting

What will set You apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN-S) or Case Management Certification (CCM or COHN-S/CM) is preferred
  • Extensive experience with Cority tool is preferred

The annual base pay for this position is:

Min $65,700 - Max $98,500

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
