Experience with Hypermill or Esprit CAM software is highly desired. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery of CNC programming, fixture design, and process optimization in a high-mix, tight-tolerance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming & Optimization
- Develop, prove-out, and optimize CNC programs for 3-, and 5-axis machining centers using HSM, Hypermill or Esprit.
- Ensure programs are efficient, safe, and compliant with production and quality standards.
- Generate toolpaths to meet tight tolerances and surface finish requirements for aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing applications.
- Process Engineering
- Design and document setups, fixtures, and work holding solutions to support efficient machining operations.
- Evaluate and recommend tooling, cutting strategies, and process improvements to increase throughput and reduce cycle times.
- Apply advanced manufacturing principles, including single-piece flow and SMED where applicable.
- Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality inspectors to resolve programming, tooling, and setup issues.
- Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate program files, setup sheets, and process documentation in accordance with AS9100/ISO standards.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry compliance requirements (ITAR, NADCAP, etc. if applicable).
Qualifications
