Job Summary

Coordinate the maintenance and contractor activities of a company generating facility to provide reliable, efficient and economical electrical service to our customers, in a safe and responsible manner. Plan and supervise daily and outage activities of maintenance and contractor crews by effectively using resources such as staffing, equipment and supplies to ensure optimum availability, productivity and safe operating performance. Manage warranty claims. Prepare paperwork such as requisitions, scopes of work, reports, Preventive Maintenance, Bills of Material and claims. Assign priorities to work and develop work schedules in coordination with Outage Planners and other station groups. Inspect completed work for defects and compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.

The role may have Non-Dominion Energy Workers (NDEWs) report to them.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:

5-6+ years of maintenance procedures, corrective maintenance planning, scheduling, and materials management (identification of material needs, ordering materials, assessing cost for materials, etc.).
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrates good analytical and troubleshooting skills required to evaluate needs and develop, create and manage maintenance activities and work schedules. In addition, identify scheduling impacts, resolve scheduling conflicts and develop materials and task lists.
Strong organizational skills, with proven ability to plan, determine work priorities and schedule both planned and emergent work.
Skilled in the use of a personal computer to include the use of the Microsoft office platform (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Demonstrates considerable attention to detail, ensures accurate entry of station work orders, skilled in identifying discrepancies and/or scheduling conflicts.
Ability to research equipment history, locate parts and vendors, and interface with vendor to procure materials and services directly or through the bid process.
Previous work experience demonstrating knowledge of inspection, repair, installation, adjustment and removal of mechanical and/or electrical power plant equipment and corrective maintenance planning.
Previous work experience demonstrating working knowledge of craft specialty.
Ability to manage multiple activities and resources, prioritize work and exercise discretion in performance of duties and responsibilities.
Ability to work with a variety of individuals to communicate and assess technical and/or part requirements or work priorities.
Previous work experience using SAP or other maintenance management systems.
Demonstrated leadership ability to lead contractors, fill in for supervisors, conduct safety orientations to contractors or assigned work crews.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associate

Preferred Disciplines:  Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Power Plant Technology, Technical Studies, Welding Engineering

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
