About the role
As a Senior Program Manager, you are responsible for partnering with team members and external stakeholders to develop and implement quality improvement and special project initiatives, promoting initiatives to new customers, and performing day-to-day project management of the regional Emergency Preparedness Program (EPP). This includes the responsibility to mentor and coach others in EPP topics and help the team expand knowledge and skills. This role will develop and implement strategies regarding the EPP management program. The role will partner with emergency services, paramedicine, healthcare providers, and other related partner organizations to ensure standards set meet the quality and effectiveness of the program.

Essential Functions
- Lead transformational change, partnering with associations, healthcare providers, and other related stakeholder organizations to improve the quality of health care for patients.
- Research, develop, market, and implement the EPP management program(s) and strategies
- Analyze data to determine appropriate intervention and strategy.
- Assess opportunities and/or risks and make recommendations to community partners and management.
- Develop and present learning or informational sessions to community partners and stakeholders.
- Stay abreast and informed of EPP practices and technologies.
- Make recommendations to management for improvement in EPP program.
- Serve as organization’s technical expert regarding EPP.
- Educate internal and external customers, healthcare providers on industry changes and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in emergency management, criminal justice, business, public safety, public administration, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in safety, emergency management, and/or related field in a healthcare setting.
- Incident Management Team Certifications.
- Knowledge of federal and State emergency management frameworks (NIMS, ICS).
- Completion of the FEMA ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-700, and ICS-800 courses meet certification qualifications.
- Ability to manage internal, external, commercial, and federal partner relationships effectively to coordinate and execute disaster training and exercises.
- Highly effective verbal and written communication skills are required to work successfully with a diverse group of staff at all levels within the organization and external partners.
