ABAXAbout the role
Join ABAX as a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer and help shape the backbone of our cloud-native ecosystem. In this role, you’ll design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure to support our growing portfolio of digital services. You'll be part of a skilled and collaborative team of four experienced Cloud Platform Engineers and a Cloud Solution Architect, working together to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions that align with our business goals and enable engineering excellence.
What You’ll Work On

- Plan and execute Kubernetes upgrades and manage the full lifecycle of both managed and self-hosted clusters (e.g., SUSE Rancher).
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
- Use Terraform to provision, configure, and deploy cloud resources. Act as a reviewer and approver for infrastructure changes proposed by development teams via merge requests, ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards.
- Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, security, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Implement and maintain observability tools, including metrics, logs, and tracing systems, to support visibility and effective incident response.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents, collaborating with other teams to restore service and perform post-incident reviews.
- Implement best practices for cloud security, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for platform components, deployment processes, and troubleshooting playbooks.
What We're Looking For

- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent hands-on experience managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes and containerization, including a strong understanding of the Kubernetes control plane and core components.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals, especially in cloud-native environments.
