Position Overview
As the Executive Assistant to the Director, First Deputy Director, and the Director's Chief of Staff for the Office of the Director, Acts as Liaison with other Illinois State Police (ISP) Divisions on administrative processes and prepares documents: assists sworn and code employees with relative policies and fiscal matters. Directs and conducts a variety of studies and investigations of problems affecting agency operations; advises supervisor on personnel and budgetary problems, including vendor payments and overtime allocations and other administrative matters. Maintains, tracks and audits inventory for the Office of the Director. Prepares and submits invoices, travel vouchers and pertinent reports. Assists in finalizing budget activities of expenditures to ensure availability of funds. Serves as the backup Travel Coordinator for the Office of the Director. Oversees and manages Fleet, Telecom and IT projects for the Office of the Director.

Essential Functions
- Serves as Executive Assistant to the Director, First Deputy Director and the Director's Chief of Staff for the Illinois State Police.
- Prepares budgetary and timekeeping documents for the Office.
- Conducting and/or coordinating of special projects or events, both self-initiated and at the request of the Director, First Deputy Director and Chief of Staff.
- Attends meeting with and on behalf of the Director, First Deputy Director, and Chief of Staff to stay informed of current programs, policies, and events involving the Office, Office of the Director and the Illinois State Police.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with courses in public or business administration.
- Requires two years of professional experience in a public or private organization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prefers (2) two years experiences of Professional experience and skills in interpersonal relationships.
- Prefers (2) two years’ experience working with software for project tracking and monitoring.
- Prefers (2) two years’ experience working with executive level of management.
- Prefers (2) two years’ experience with software such as Mic
