POSITION SUMMARY:The Clinical Services Manager leads World Relief Durham’s mental health initiative and collaborates with the Health and Wellness Manager and Resettlement Director to ensure successful and compliant execution the Support for Trauma Affected Refugees (STAR), Preferred Communities (PC) and Refugee Health Promotion (RHP) programs.  The Clinical Services Manager provides individual therapeutic services, supervises WRD’s clinical team and is responsible for continuous monitoring, evaluation and reporting of program outcomes.  Up to half of the Manager’s time will be spent in direct client services.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This role is responsible for supervising others and includes responsibilities consistent with supervising employees, including but not limited to monitoring daily work activities, tracking and approving timesheets including approving time off, monitoring performance including entering goals, progress check-ins, and weekly or bi-weekly check-ins, documenting performance concerns, entering staff promotions, transitions, and separations in HRIS within required time frame. Managers at World Relief are also considered spiritual leaders and are expected to lead staff in a manner consistent with our Christian values, including but not limited to praying with staff, leading devotionals, and fostering a Christian environment in interactions with staff throughout World Relief.
  • Ensures clinical mental health team meets annual service goals as defined by contracts held with public and private funders, including, but not limited to, ORR and the State Refugee Office.
  • Provide creative leadership to the mental health team to successfully navigate obstacles and increase equitable access to mental health services for immigrant newcomers in the community, with specific attention to equity in services to populations experiencing known biases or increased obstacles to access. 
  • Provide direct leadership to WRD’s clinical mental health team, including clinical supervision and ongoing professional coaching.
  • Participate in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of program performance to ensure excellence in program administration, ongoing program improvement and non-duplication of services.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate collection of quantitative and qualitative data for the purpose of reporting program performance to federal and state funders. 
  • Provide therapeutic services to eligible individuals, couples, and families.
  • Specific services include but are not limited to individualized treatment plans and individual, group or family therapy interventions.
  • Collaborate with the Resettlement Director to plan and implement program development and improvements each fiscal year to ensure professional growth in best practices for mental health services at WRD and increasing depth and/or breadth of impact.
  • Oversee and/or conduct the onboarding, training and supervision of MSW interns who participate in core program services at WRD. 
  • Nurture referral network of culturally competent providers able to receive service referrals and provide linguistically appropriate, trauma informed mental health services for immigrant clients who are not able to be immediately enrolled in services at
