Adobe is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to drive the development of next generation AI products that empowers our customers to deliver personalization at scale and increase their productivity. As a senior member of the AEP AI team, you will build AI products and lead initiatives that push boundaries, developing innovative solutions at the intersection of multimodal foundation models, personalization, context engineering, and AIOps.

This role is ideal for engineers or scientist passionate about generating impact and building end to end AI solutions. The senior ML engineers had been leading projects such as building multimodal autonomous agents, reasoning systems, personalization models and AI tuning and quality frameworks.

You’ll collaborate closely with Adobe Research, Product Management, and Platform Engineering to shape products where AI is not an add-on—but a core enabler of value. Our team operates in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, delivering impactful ML-powered solutions that scale across enterprise-grade applications.

What You'll Do

  • Build and scale AI-driven applications that power personalization, targeting, and adaptive decisioning across Adobe’s Digital Experience products.

  • Architect and optimize end-to-end ML pipelines, including personalization models, information retrieval, context engineering, and model deployment for real-time and batch systems.

  • Develop agentic and workflow-based systems that combine reasoning, retrieval, and user context to deliver intelligent, high-impact experiences.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to define and execute Adobe’s AI strategy, turning business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions.

  • Integrate AI and ML models—including LLMs where appropriate—into production workflows to enhance creativity, productivity, and personalization.

  • Drive system reliability, scalability, and performance through continuous optimization, monitoring, and experimentation.

  • Mentor teams on modern ML practices, personalization modeling, and AI application design.

  • Contribute to research, open-source projects, and industry thought leadership in applied AI and personalization.

  • Champion responsible AI development, focusing on system safety, interpretability, and user trust.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree with 8+ years of experience, or PhD with 5+ years in crafting, evaluating, and building machine learning solutions at scale.

  • Deep expertise in machine learning, LLMs, context engineering, or applied AI.

  • Proven success in shipping ML models, ML frameworks or agentic systems to production, with measurable business impact.

  • Proficiency in Python and experience with tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, HuggingFace, LangChain, or other relevant tools.

  • Experience with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agent protocols, and context engineering is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to distill complexity into clear, actionable strategies.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence product and engineering teams.

  • A track record of mentorship and technical leadership.

  • Experience bridging research and product delivery, in areas like agentic AI, context engineering, and enterprise-scale LLM applications.
