Responsibilities

• Provide Holland America and Princess guests with professional, compassionate and diligent Directors to escort them throughout their land tours. 
• Prepares schedules, monitors operations, processes reports. 
• Supervises the Escorted Tour Operations team and the unit’s activities. 
• Applies knowledge of company product, policies, and procedures. 
• Analyzes and prepares reports. 
• Responsible for the screening, interviewing applicants, and hiring applicant. 
• Responsible for the supervision, performance management, and discipline of seasonal personnel. 
• Responsible for seasonal employee training and development. 
• Support staff with operational inquiries and problem resolution 

Requirements

• This job normally requires a professional level of knowledge in escorted tour operations and/or Alaska tourism equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of some college or an Associate’s degree and/or related experience in tourism field. 
• Demonstration of directly related work experience, which has provided an equivalent breadth, and depth of knowledge may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement. 
• Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of computerized reservations systems. 
• Travel is required for this position 
•  Demonstrated supervisory experience in a business environment is preferred.
• 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Current passport is required.
• Current valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record is required. 
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.

• Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. 
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals. 
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards. 
• Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
