About the role

We are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager for the Real World Data (RWD) - Population Genomics product line. You will play a pivotal role in driving the development and management of our genomic and clinical data ecosystem and product portfolio. Your primary focus will be on expanding the product portfolio and associated capabilities for Natera and our life science and pharma partners to leverage this data to accelerate drug discovery, optimize clinical trials, and support evidence-based decision-making. You will be responsible for the internal data/platform assets and external facing clinicogenomic data assets derived from non-invasive prenatal screening, advanced carrier screening, and genetic testing for kidney disease.

Responsibilities:

  • Support needs of the business as it relates to execution against direction and strategy for winning in inherited and rare disease

  • Lead the planning and execution of our pharma/life science data platform and product portfolio to align with business objectives and drive organizational value for population genomics.

  • The ideal candidate is an innovative, strategic thinker, data-driven problem solver, adaptable, excels in a fast-paced environment, and communicates effectively at all levels.

  • Translate your in-depth knowledge of the marketplace - including the competitive landscape, technical and scientific trends, insights from customers and input from broader business development and sales teams - to develop market differentiated, high quality products & solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with technical vendors, cross-matrixed cross-functional teams, including data scientists, bioinformaticians, engineers, and other SMEs, to understand their technical data needs, align to business strategy and translate into actionable product requirements.

  • Support key internal initiatives with RWD capabilities from achieving buy-in to orchestrating multiple groups to plan and execute against deadlines.

  • Drive the product development lifecycle from ideation to post-launch optimization, focusing on customer needs and cross-functional execution.

  • Work with engineering to ensure the data platform and products meet functional and technical requirements, including scalability, security, and performance.

  • Work closely with external consultants, legal, privacy and compliance, security, regulatory and other functions to ensure requirements are met in every aspect of the RWD program to safeguard patient data and privacy.

  • Articulate business cases based on primary and secondary market research, understanding of the technical and scientific needs of customers, and competitive landscape. Understand capability and data gaps and drive program and project initiatives to fill gaps with build or buy strategies.

  • Contribute to commercial and go to market strategies and assist in executing marketing tactics to achieve sales and revenue goals.

  • Monitor key performance metrics, user feedback, and market dynamics to make data-driven decisions and continuously improve the product.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on our data products to provide guidance to stakeholders and create a shared understanding among business, research and technical teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or specialized field (e.g., computer science, chemistry, statistics, bioinformatics, molecular biology or similar field); advanced degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in product management interfacing with customers in the field and internal development teams.

  • Clinical data / EHR data expertise strongly preferred

  • Strong understanding of genomic and clinical data, data platforms, data integration, and analytics tools commonly used in the pharmaceutical domain.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and influence decision-making.

  • Track record of successfully launching and managing complex technical products with cross-functional teams.

 

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location.
