Title and Summary

Senior Systems Platform Engineer

•  Do you have senior level experience Engineering a Brocade fiber channel environment?
•  Do you have experience with SAN storage arrays?
•  Do you have trouble-shooting skills with a Brocade SAN fabrics?
•  Do you enjoy interacting with other infrastructure and installation teams?
•  The storage team is responsible for managing MasterCard’s storage requirements around the world, supporting more than 39 Petabytes of block storage.
•  The storage team is also responsible for maintaining Mastercard’s Brocade Storage Area Network (SAN).
•  The storage team works closely with project managers to make recommendations pertaining to various storage options.

•  Design, management, and troubleshooting of a global Brocade fiber channel infrastructure. (Gen 5 and 7).
•  Manage a global block storge environment comprised of multiple storage array vendors (Dell EMC, HPE, and IBM). Pure and NetApp experience could be beneficial as well.
•  Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure timely and accurate provisioning of storage resources.
•  Trouble-shoot and resolve end-to-end storage related issues, including performance problems and provisioning issues.
•  Provide second-level off-hours support on occasion to offer guidance to operations team.
•  Assist project managers by providing storage recommendations and solutions that meet project requirements.
•  Document and proceduralize tasks for the operations teams.
•  Document, document, document
•  Familiar with CHEF and scripting tools.

•  Essential Knowledge - High level of experience managing Brocade SMB and Director Class Switches.
•  Strong Unix and Windows skills are a necessity.
•  Strong understanding of switch management tools like SANnav.
•  Preferred Knowledge – Familiarity with Storage Array Management and Performance Analysis.
