About the role

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual for a part-time Associate Research in our research lab. The primary responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data from online participants using tools such as Qualtrics, PsychoPy, and other online data collection platforms. The role requires a strong background in advanced statistical analysis and proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and R to support data processing and analysis tasks. The position begins on February 3rd and concludes on May 2nd, with a commitment of 10 hours per week. Compensation is $36 per hour.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $26-40/hr for 10 hours per week and up to 27 hours per week. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a master's degree in psychology and have prior research experience involving behavioral data collection and analysis. Proficiency with online data collection tools, including Qualtrics and PsychoPy, is essential. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate expertise in advanced statistical methods and be skilled in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and R. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are critical for success in this role.
