Job Description:
The Audit Division Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) team is responsible for the development and execution of the QAIP annual plan as well as evolving the QAIP strategy to align with regulatory expectations, industry best practices and the Institute of Internal Auditors requirements. The Manager II, QAIP is an internal audit professional who executes audit quality assurance reviews and/or projects of varying complexity and may act as a subject matter expert in own area of expertise.
Job Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree
- Professional certifications or accounting designations, (CIA/CPA) preferred, additional designations e.g. CAMS, CFE, CFA, FRM, CRMA an asset
- 7+ years of relevant experience (Internal Audit as well as Technology, Data or Change Delivery) within a financial institution preferred
- Relevant professional certifications, accounting designations
- Advanced knowledge of business processes and operations, risk, change and project methodologies, organizational practices and business transformation.
- Expertise in using software tools, windows applications, data analysis and reporting techniques.
- A strong team leader who can negotiate and influence key partners including employees.
- Aptitude in exercising sound judgment while making decisions and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Deep knowledge of specialist auditing and integration of cross functional processes to undertake and complete a variety of audit projects and initiatives.
- Capabilities required include subject matter expertise on infrastructure technologies (cloud computing, operating systems, networking, etc.), cyber security, to review and challenge first and second lines of defense related control processes and mechanisms.
- Solid risk assessment, information security, and technical IT infrastructure knowledge of key infrastructure technologies e.g. Operating Systems (Windows/UNIX/Mainframe), databases (SQL, Oracle, Sybase, etc.), Networking, middleware, Cloud and Cyber, etc.
- A deep understanding of inherent technology risks and the ability to translate these risks into business language.
