Senior API Platform Engineer

<p><b>YOUR ROLE &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p><ul><li>Design and development of new features and functionalities for the (K8S+ Istio based multi-tenant) API Platform</li><li>Implement and enforce our enterprise API strategy for API design and development</li><li>Monitor, analyze, and optimize the performance of the API platform to ensure high availability and minimal latency with LGTM observability stack</li><li>Work closely with cybersecurity teams to implement API security strategies</li><li>Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployment of new APIs and platform updates. Write infrastructure unit &amp; integration tests</li><li>Provide troubleshooting and support for the API platform. Lead root cause analysis for complex issues and ensure timely resolution</li><li>Work closely with enterprise architects and workload teams, to harden and improve the existing best practices and the solution automations for delivery of APIs</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>YOUR PROFILE</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in EKS based platform engineering, with a proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale API platforms</li><li>Experience with production grade service mesh implementation</li><li>Strong understanding of building reusable, scalable, self-service platforms serving multiple teams</li><li>Experience with Grafana and Prometheus is a must. Experience with Grafana LGTM stack is strongly preferred.</li><li>Ensuring and defining the platform’s SLI’s and SLO’s are met through planning, development and observability practices</li><li>Strong understanding of test-driven infrastructure development</li><li>Strong background in microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies.</li><li>Strong experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitLab - In depth knowledge of API security standards, protocols, and best practices</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills, a team-oriented mindset</li><li>Ability to operate independently to plan, execute and deliver based on business requirements</li><li>Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul><p><br/> </p><h2>Brenntag TA Team</h2>
