As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Plattsburgh, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to help create a secure environment in a retail and mall setting. You will conduct routine patrols throughout the location, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. Your role includes interacting with guests, assisting with incidents, and supporting a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires driving as part of your patrol responsibilities. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail location and its perimeter.
• Observe and report activities and incidents at the location to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behaviors.
• Assist visitors, tenants, and/or employees by providing information and directions as needed.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and local staff to address security-related concerns specific to the retail/mall environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
