About the role

How will this role have an impact?

Under the supervision of the Sr. Manager of Analytics, the Sr. Analytics Consultant will be responsible for creating dynamic, visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI, while also performing advanced data analysis to provide actionable insights. This hybrid role requires a blend of technical skills in data visualization and the ability to engage in strategic data analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience in data extraction, statistical analysis, and report generation, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making.

Logistics:  This role will be remote with occasional travel required


What will you do:

  • Develop, design, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to support business intelligence needs across the organization
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract and transform data for analysis and visualization
  • Apply statistical methodologies and advanced analytics to deliver insights on business performance, process optimization, and strategic planning
  • Interact with multiple teams, including Technology, Product, and Operations, to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions
  • Create visualizations that simplify complex data for non-technical users, enabling them to make informed business decisions
  • Present analytical findings to stakeholders, including senior leadership, through clear, concise, and compelling presentations
  • Assist with ad hoc data analysis and reporting as requested by leadership
  • Collaborate on member targeting, strategic planning, and process optimization initiatives
  • Support the development and implementation of analytics projects by summarizing insights and identifying actionable next steps


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related role
  • Proficiency in developing Power BI reports and dashboards, with experience in data storytelling
  • Strong skills in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and ETL processes
  • Solid understanding of statistical techniques, including regression, predictive modeling, forecasting, and clustering
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS is desirable
  • Proven ability to interpret and communicate data-driven insights to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry, with knowledge of risk adjustment, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial offerings, is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other data visualization tools such as Tableau or QlikView.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes.
  • Experience in advanced analytics projects including machine learning and AI.

 

The base salary hiring range for this position is $54,000 to $118,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
