Job Summary
Avantor is looking for a steadfast and collaborative Quality Supervisor, Kitting to supervise our Quality Control Kitting team, administering day-to-day facility quality control requirements and supporting the line level inspector team.
This role will be a full-time position based out of our Buford, George facility. You will have the opportunity to supervise the inspection process and staff ensuring staffing levels and work assignments meet facility requirements. The team
Avantor’s Quality Control team is part of our Manufacturing Quality business unit. This team supports the quality and integrity of various department lines at the Buford, Georgia facility by administering quality programs, compliance, applicable regulations and standards.
What we’re looking for
Education: High school diploma or equivalent educational experience required
Experience: 5+ years of related experience is required
Minimum 1 year of leadership responsibility is required
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience required
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a regulated industry (medical devices, API, pharmaceuticals, etc.)
Associate Degree or equivalent experience
Microsoft Teams experience

Carries out responsibilities, including staff assurance, in compliance with the Quality Manual and applicable regulations.
Supervises activities of the Inspectors including attendance, productivity, efficiency, payroll, disciplinary issues and staff motivation.
Approves and tracks requests for time off and schedule changes.
Evaluates and performs periodic reviews for staff and potential Inspector status changes (e.g. proficiency/cross-training scores, promotion, successful completion of probation period, etc.).
Keeps Manager informed of all situations and emerging trends.
Attends all production planning meetings and reports relevant information to Leads.
Coordinates with Production to assure all inspection areas are resourced with adequate personnel.
Determines and provides efficient training of all Inspectors; conducts training as required.
Establishes determination of all efficient training requirements are met facility-wide, including assistance with methods, scheduling, training needs and updates to minimize the number of errors affecting customers.
Identifies new candidates from Production department.
Administers Inspector usernames/passwords for client systems (site specific).
Ensures all processed orders are inspected and available for carrier pickup by end of shift facility-wide.
Reports activities, communications, summaries and trends (e.g. quality metrics, complaint/error reduction) to Manager and other department heads as vital.
Ensures assembly error metrics are captured and included on the monthly Assembly Lot Review (ALR).
Performs acceptance activities, documents results, and delegates expiration sweeps as needed.
Audits acceptance activity functions to ensure all produced and purchased products/components meet the customer’s requirements.
Under direction, investigates and documents CAPA inputs, including coordinating the return of non-conforming product for analysis and corrective action as applicable.
Authors inspection attributes for new products and reviews attributes for existing product improvements involving receiving, in-process and final inspections.
Ensures temperature sensitive items are properly identified, temperature controlled areas remain compliant and temperature logs are reviewed monthly.
Assists with the creation and/or administration of Certificate of Conformance (CofC), as requested.
Leads quality improvement initiatives.
In absence of Manager, represents site for all quality related issues.
Ensures the maintenance of an organized production environment, free of distractions and debris.
Stays in sync with company policies, procedures, work instructions and training requirements.
Performs other duties as needed.
