Position Summary:
The Human Resources Site Manager is a key member of the plant leadership team and is responsible for leading all HR functions at the manufacturing facility. This role ensures HR strategies and processes align with plant operations, including workforce planning, employee relations, labor compliance, recruitment, training, safety collaboration, and continuous improvement. The HR Site Manager drives a positive culture while ensuring the plant meets all regulatory and policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the strategic HR partner to the Plant Manager and leadership team, supporting plant performance goals.
- Lead all HR initiatives including staffing, training, performance management, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
- Oversee recruitment efforts for hourly and salaried roles; maintain effective onboarding processes.
- Coach supervisors and managers on employee engagement, conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation.
- Lead employee relations initiatives, including investigations, discipline, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and safety regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, OSHA).
- Support safety program coordination, compliance training, and workers’ compensation claims in collaboration with EHS.
- Maintain HR metrics and reports related to turnover, absenteeism, headcount, etc.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Act as liaison with corporate HR and provide support during audits, program rollouts, and policy updates.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and labor relations (union experience a plus).
- Experience with HRIS systems and timekeeping platforms.
- Ability to work both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, production-driven setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
