We have ambitious plans for Wealthsimple Crypto, that go beyond our current trading platform and we are looking for ambitious individuals that can help us shape and execute that vision.
We have two open roles on our Crypto team and are open to both Intermediate and Senior level Software Developers!

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Lead projects: plan, scope, execute, and work with your product partner and manager to communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Think about the future: help us design our newest features, shape our client experiences, and build a sustainable and performant architecture.
• Build with quality and think about the big picture: help us improve our client experience, error rates, application performance, and developer velocity through a focus on iterative improvement. 
• Set best practices: help us figure out how to build better, more reliable software!
• Mentor others: support and grow other developers within your team and get support on your own career journey!

Skills we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Product Developer.
• Experience with some of our key technologies: TypeScript, React, React Native, GraphQL, and Ruby on Rails.
• Flexibility and creativity: you enjoy coming up with novel ways to solve problems and work through constraints.
• An inquisitive mindset: you have the desire to learn new skills, the ability to ask questions, and remain open to new ideas and perspectives.
• Proactive communication skills and a willingness to work directly with designers, product managers, and other collaborators to focus on quality, testing, system design and building iteratively.
• Experience in and a desire to mentor fellow developers through pairing, code review, and in-the-moment feedback.

Nice to haves:

• Previous experience working at a Crypto company.
• A familiarity with Blockchain and Web3 concepts and/or an interest in learning about them.
