Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Quality team located in Berkeley, MO.

This position will be supporting the T-7A Redhawk program as a leader within the Quality engineering function. This role will support the overall quality management system and will have key interactions with suppliers, customers, production and engineering personnel and executive leaders.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Provides interpretation of complex requirements.
  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities. Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Develops and implements corrective actions.
  • Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
  • Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • 3+ years of experience auditing to quality system standards
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data and generating metrics reports
  • 1+ year of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience leading flight line operations ensuring aircraft are in a flight ready condition to support a highly visible US Air Force program
  • Experience with Military Aircraft Airworthiness documents
  • Experience in USAF Flight Line Airworthiness Release documentation and control of flight records

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
