Principal RF Analog Layout Engineer

Perform semiconductor engineering design, development, and testing for company products and devices in conjunction with product development for the electronic communications industry. Responsible for RF Analog physical design flows and methodologies in deep submicron CMOS. Perform custom RF Physical Design, including block-level and top level layouts, floor planning, physical verification and package routing. Verify the integrity of the layout with respect to design rules, schematics and integration guidelines. Perform block level and chip level layout activities and validations with the understanding of all engineering constraints. Work alongside designers to optimize block area, iterate critical layouts for parasitic improvement, and properly route sensitive nets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering (with related variants such as VLSI or Physics), foreign equivalent or related field.
Five (5) years of experience in the job offered, Senior/Staff Manager, Project Manager-Hardware Engineering, Member of Technical Staff or similar occupations.
Required skills:
Position requires three (3) years of experience in:
- Layout Floor-plan and Layout Design of RF/Analog & Mixed Signal circuits block level and macro top level;
- Leading a complete RF/Analog Front End or Macro Level Layout effort with a layout team and delivering to SoC team for tape-out.
- RF/Analog Layout Design techniques like device matching, isolation, signal integrity, electro migration, ESD, shielding etc., and wide spectrum of process technologies from 28nm to 180nm, especially in deep sub-micron technologies;
- Process technology dependent terminologies and challenges involving Latch-up, ESD, silicon proximity effects, Foundry Design for Manufacturing rules;
- EDA tools like Cadence Virtuoso Layout XL for layout implementation; and Mentor Calibre for DRC/LVS/PEX etc., for physical verification and debugging.
Offered Annual Salary: $198,000
The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs.
