Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek a hands-on and strategic National Director, Information Technology, Enterprise Architecture. This role reports to the Vice President, Tech Strategy and Architecture in the Information Technology department of PPFA. The IT Enterprise Architecture is a discipline for proactively and holistically identifying, analyzing and optimizing information, technology, processes into an integrated environment that is responsive to change and supportive of the delivery of PPFA’s business strategy.
Purpose:
The role of the Enterprise Architect is to enable business and IT leaders to make investment decisions that balance and prioritize current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the organization. Furthermore the enterprise architect provides technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices.●Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of IT architecture to effectively support the PPFA business strategy.●Supports all enterprise architectural disciplines (Data, Application, Infrastructures) and champions’ architectural initiatives.●Reviews existing business processes and establishes metrics to improve business processes, as well as support of all architectural disciplines under their direction. ●Leads programs to develop, maintain, and govern the enterprise architecture across the organization.●Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains.●Leads the EA review board and ensures that the solutions are compliant with target-state architecture models.●Aligns architecture strategy with business goals and leads teams in developing technology plans.●Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural requirements as needed for the organization.●Develops and communicates architectural policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.●Directs the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry, and market trends.●Ensures recommendations are based on business relevance, appropriate timing, and deployment.●Key partner role with technology services to ensure all tech services are scalable and aligned with strategic plans.●Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities.●Owns and leads enterprise initiatives to define, design, and implement solutions, including reference architectures, estimates, and costs.●Acs as a key partner with technology services to ensure all tech services are scalable and aligned with strategic plans.
Engagement:
●Partners with InfoSec Enterprise Architecture to ensure end to end architecture standards and design principles are in place, aligned to target state architecture. Ensures architecture designs meet the Information Security layer standards across the enterprise.●Partners across the Information Technology and Information Security organization to provide strategic and operational direction on annual business planning, technology roadmaps, industry trends and CIO priorities.●Works with Tech Business Partner team, application owners and business leaders to understand business requirements and help them understand how technology solution trade offs influence strategy.●Collaborates with project mana
