ROLE SUMMARY:

This Warehouse I position is primarily responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments by performing the duties detailed below.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

  • Reads production schedule, pick sheet, POS pull sheet, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

  • Operates standing counterweight forklift to convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

  • Inspects incoming loads for defects, damage, or other quality concerns.

  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets.

  • Adheres to FIFO processes for full goods and material movements.

  • Marks materials with identifying information.

  • Drives vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment.

  • Maintains inventory records.

  • Uses computer to enter records.

  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

  • Follows all safety policies/procedures and operates with a safety-first mindset.

  • Autonomously maintain cleanliness in their designated areas by following Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MSS and sustaining 5S standards.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school education or equivalent required

  • Up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Forklift licensing and/or certification, required.

  • Must be able to regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. 

  • Ability to autonomously read, comprehend, and follow instructions, correspondence, and memos. 

  • Capacity to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
