In the dynamic foodservice environment, growth is expected as more people choose to eat out of home, despite inflation and rapid changes to consumer behaviour & preference. These are some of the topics we deal with in the Customer Development Team at Arla Denmark with the purpose of growing sales.
Customer Development delivers commercial insights, analysis and recommendations for Sales and Marketing, enabling us to deliver value to end-users Arla and our Food-service customers and partners.
How you will make an impact
As Commercial Business Development Intern, you will be working in the Customer Development Team supporting sales and marketing within foodservice. We are a big team of twenty people, so you will have great colleagues during the internship. You will be working with our different areas of foodservice (e.g. Marketing, Sales & Global).
Your main projects during the internship:
- Deliver market insights based on detailed analyses using various systems and data sources, e.g. macro level tendencies, FMCG market development in general, foodservice sales, prices, shoppers and consumers.
- Build business cases on new potential products relevant to restaurant and chefs within foodservice.
- Optimizing our existing data sources and provide in-sights to key stakeholders in our sales and marketing functions.
- Provide detailed analysis of shopper trends and behaviour across our dairy categories to find white spots in the market.
- Ad-hoc tasks, e.g. create price overviews, create business cases and secure data quality.
- As an intern you will assist the Customer development Team in retrieving these insights and turning them in to actions within Arla Denmark.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and independent Intern with a strong analytical mindset and the will and ability to transform insights into commercial actions.
Your profile
- Your educational background can be within Marketing, International Business, Retail Management or similar.
- You have a natural flair for numbers and data management - and strong analytical skills.
- It is an advantage if you are a ‘foodie’ – you love food.
- You are proficient in Power Point and Excel.
- It is an advantage if you have experience with Power BI
- You are self-driven and can maintain an overview, but at the same time have an eye for details.
- You respect deadlines and work hard to meet them.
- You are positive, results-oriented, structured and dynamic.
- You speak and write English and Danish fluently.
