About the role

Staff Analyst (Mid-Level or Senior)

Company:

The Boeing Company

Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) is looking for a Staff Analyst (Mid-Level or Senior) in Everett, Washington who can operate as a trusted integrator for leaders—someone who can connect strategy to execution, turn ambiguity into a plan, and help teams move faster by improving how we work, not just what we work.  This isn’t a “track-the-actions” job. This is a make-the-organization-better job.

This position will be central to building high-performing skill teams, strengthening Adaptive Planning, and shaping the organizational structure and operating rhythm that enables results.

Position Responsibilities:

Build and elevate skill teams

  • Help define and mature skill teams: charters, roles, decision rights, metrics, and cadence.
  • Create consistency across teams while leaving room for local flexibility.
  • Identify bottlenecks and capability gaps; coordinate actions that measurably improve throughput and performance.

Drive Adaptive Planning that leaders can trust

  • Build planning artifacts that connect priorities to capacity.
  • Enable leaders to make smart trade decisions as priorities shift—without losing control of commitments.
  • Track performance-to-plan and translate signal into action: risks, recovery paths, and recommendations.

Strengthen organizational structure & clarity

  • Support organizational structure evolution (roles, responsibilities, interfaces, and workflow clarity).
  • Assess friction points in execution and propose implementation-ready solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to implement changes and sustain the improvements.

Upgrade the operating rhythm (meetings that drive decisions)

  • Provide continuous assessment of meeting/review architecture: fewer meetings, better outcomes.
  • Design agendas and pre-reads that improve decision quality and speed.
  • Facilitate key forums when needed and ensure actions close—consistently.

Tell the story with data and executive-ready communication

  • Analyze and summarize data from multiple sources; convert complexity into crisp insights.
  • Develop executive-level briefings that clearly communicate: what matters, what changed, what’s at risk, and what decision is needed.

What success looks like

  • Skill teams are clear, connected, and productive, with visible outcomes and strong engagement.
  • Planning is adaptive and credible—leaders can see trade space, impacts, and paths forward.
  • The organization is more aligned: fewer handoff issues, clearer ownership, better execution.
  • Reviews are decision-driven, not calendar-driven—and follow-through is reliable.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site in Everett, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years’ experience leading cross-functional planning or execution efforts with multiple stakeholders
  • 3+ years’ experience analyzing and synthesizing data into leadership-ready recommendations and briefings
  • 3+ years’ experience improving or managing an operating rhythm (reviews, cadence, decision forums) and driving actions to closure

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with workforce planning, organizational design, or operating model improvement
  • Strong facilitation skills for large meetings/events and senior leader engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to create structure in ambiguous environments and influence without authority
  • Experience building schedules, tracking execution, and communicating performance-to-plan (schedule/budget/metrics)
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process

Functional Excellence Competencies (What we value)

  • Achievement & Results Oriented: you deliver outcomes, not just activity
  • Analytical Thinking & De
