Job purpose
The Corporate Reporting and Accounting Intern will assist the PHINIA Corporate Reporting and Accounting team through a part-time internship located in Auburn Hills, MI. The Intern will learn about the Company’s external reporting process and certain technical accounting areas, co-manage lease accounting using Visual Lease software, prepare and submit governmental reports, manage the accounting policy deviation process, assist in the preparation of the monthly close and Company’s 10-Q/10-K filings, and support compliance in control activities.
Key Responsibilities
Administrator for Visual Lease and lease accounting
Assist in preparation and organization of quarterly documents
Manage required governmental financial reports
Assist OneStream Consolidations team with monthly/quarterly close tasks
Assist with internal and external audit requests
Assist with technical accounting projects as needed
Analyze financial data and prepare ad-hoc analyses
Assist Corporate Accounting team with month end close and other activities
What we’re looking for
Accounting major
Junior/Senior status or graduate status
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in MSOffice, especially Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
