Job purpose

The Corporate Reporting and Accounting Intern will assist the PHINIA Corporate Reporting and Accounting team through a part-time internship located in Auburn Hills, MI. The Intern will learn about the Company’s external reporting process and certain technical accounting areas, co-manage lease accounting using Visual Lease software, prepare and submit governmental reports, manage the accounting policy deviation process, assist in the preparation of the monthly close and Company’s 10-Q/10-K filings, and support compliance in control activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrator for Visual Lease and lease accounting

  • Assist in preparation and organization of quarterly documents

  • Manage required governmental financial reports

  • Assist OneStream Consolidations team with monthly/quarterly close tasks

  • Assist with internal and external audit requests

  • Assist with technical accounting projects as needed

  • Analyze financial data and prepare ad-hoc analyses

  • Assist Corporate Accounting team with month end close and other activities

What we’re looking for

  • Accounting major

  • Junior/Senior status or graduate status

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in MSOffice, especially Excel

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
