Job Description

This role is contract to permanent. 

Job Summary

The Sr. Financial Analyst is accountable for applying accounting and financial principles to perform various general accounting duties related to the completion of timely and accurate monthly financial statements. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be versed in analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and making recommendations to management and leadership. The Sr. Financial Analyst will lead the analytics for annual and quarterly forecasting. The Sr. Financial Analyst must have strong analytical skills and be able to get to the root cause of issues with moderate guidance, and must be extremely detail oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

· Managing, with a high degree of accuracy, multiple financial budgets and reporting

· Forecast budgets including future revenues, depreciation schedules and related documentation from analysis of historical data trends and/or with input from Financial Operations/corporate Finance leaders on a regular and ad-hoc basis, prepare tracking budget expenditures versus projections

· Monitors and analyses the current and projected operations of numerous budgets

· Coordinates, consolidates, and analyses departmental information for preparation of the monthly/ quarterly/ and annual operating budgets

· Analyze cost trends in order to correct errors and provide recommendations to increase revenue and profit while minimizing cost variance

· Assimilates information from various sources to draw conclusions to effect change in processes, procedures and reporting, and/or theorize downstream impacts

· Analyze complex financial data, extracting and defining relevant information using various accounting systems

· Prepare and deliver report deliverables and analyze cost estimates

· Prepare forecasts using program resource estimates and re-baseline programs

· Develop price and cost estimates utilizing complex pricing concepts and applications

· Perform situation analysis and make recommendations for problem solving

· Conceive solutions, build consensus, and execute on solutions

· Meets with and serves as a go-to resource for C-Suite

Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field

· 5+ years of progressively responsible related financial / accounting experience

· Comfortable making decisions, monitoring project progress, recommending alternative approaches and identifying & resolving conflict

· Basic knowledge of the staffing industry, HR practices, and payroll and accounting processes

· Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Access/Outlook)

· Proficient in the use of software applications, databases and spreadsheets

· Extensive MS Excel experience (Pivot Tables/ advanced formula development)

· Strong communication skills (with ability to present to C-suite executives on a consistent basis)

· Ability to work independently and perform a high degree of accuracy

· Superior math aptitude, analytical and data analysis skills
