About the role
Description
MISSION
Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Prepare preliminary financial statements by set deadline by reconciling balance sheet general ledger accounts to month end reports including cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, inventory, fixed assets, accounts payable, accrued expenses, notes payable
- Prepare actual financial statements by set deadline by analyzing income statement general ledger accounts for assigned locations through trend analysis and expense review
- Post standard, monthly and closing journal entries
- Communicate with location managers via phone and email concerning financial statement information
- Prepare year end audit reports for external auditors
- Other data analysis and financial projects as arise
- Regular attendance in accordance with assigned schedule
- Ability to perform physical requirements as listed in job description
- Other essential and non-essential duties, as assigned by management
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum Job-Specific Experience: 3-5 years
- Management Experience: N/A
- Driver’s License Required: Yes
- Other Job-Specific Licenses or Certifications Required: CPA and/or CMA certification preferred
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES (KSA’s)
Job-Specific KSA’s:
- Economics & Accounting - Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.
- Clerical — Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Customer Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This position services Purcell store and center managers and other departments.
- Work As a Team – work with other employees to accomplish tasks
Tools & Technology KSA’s:
- Computers and Programs — Knowledge and proficient use of computer hardware and software (AS400, Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Accounting software)
- Typing – Ability to type at 55 wpm
- Calculator – Efficient skill with a calculator
- Phone Systems – Ability to operate phone systems for the effective communication of information to interested parties
