Basic Job Functions:
- As part of the Global Product Management team, the Product Engineer II will support the PV module product life cycle. This role will be responsible for ensuring all product related documentation, certifications, and field performance metrics are developed and maintained to meet the product positioning goals and business needs from product launch through obsolescence.
Education/Experience:
- Professional Experience – Minimum three years (external) or two years (internal) of professional experience.
- Functional Experience – 1-2 years of product management experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other Engineering.
Required Skills/Competencies:
- Strong presentation and written skills with ability to communicate and align across multiple regions and language barriers.
- Strong technical and marketing writing skills that effectively bridge engineer to executive.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception to completion.
- Knowledge of thin film module manufacturing practices and understanding of solar industry.
- Ability to hold a broad focus while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and aptitude for problem-solving.
- Demonstrated history of customer interaction.
- Proficient in Power BI and AI tools.
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Support the creation and cross-functional alignment of new Product Requirements, highlighting areas of non-compliance and driving action/change as necessary.
- Manage the full Product Management internal Documentation Center portfolio of product documentation and collateral to align with changes driven by the Module Product Roadmap. Ensuring accuracy to the latest product documentation published and communicating updates ahead of product change rollouts.
- Create/Develop Primary Documentation Package for new product launches including Datasheet and User Guides.
- Create product roadmaps and other external facing collateral.
- Monitor competitor Datasheets and User Guides for latest trends. Present and publish semi-annual findings including gap analysis and providing recommendations for change.
- Leading product change launches by aligning key cross functional stakeholders - manufacturing, reliability, development engineering, program management, quality, supply chain, post-sales support, business development, and the Product Management team.
- Act as key point of contact as Product Management Owner of product packaging and label criteria initiatives.
- Lead cross functional team alignment meetings as necessary.
- Act as supporting Manager for Product Management Interns.

Reporting Relationships:
- Reports to Manager – Product Manager.
- This position will not have direct reports except for potentially interns.
Travel:
- 0% - 5% (On occasion/as needed for training, etc.)
Estimated Salary Range:
- $67,400-$96,000 Annually.
