Job Description: Alice Hyde Medical Center, located at 133 Park Street in Malone, New York, is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Hospitalist team. This is a Per diem position that offers a dynamic work environment where you will assist and supplement our Hospitalist Physician staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients, working closely with the Hospitalist Physician team.
• Respond promptly to calls from the nursing staff, effectively managing changes in patient conditions.
• Order and interpret tests and images, and prescribe medications as needed.
• Prepare patient discharges, including writing prescriptions, discharge summaries, arranging follow-up appointments, and educating patients and their families.
• Maintain a high standard of patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the Emergency Department.

Requirements:

• Qualified and licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Experience in an Hospitalist setting is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to assess and manage patient care independently.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff and patient education.
