About the role

  • Max Term Contract until December 2025

Senior Project Manager for managing the RITS Certificate Authority migration to a SaaS platform.

Looking for proven experience in:

  • Migrating an on prem solution to SaaS

  • Actively managing external vendors

  • Running a cross functional project team that includes internal SMEs and external vendor contacts.

  • Optional: Experience with Certificate Authorities or Public Key Infrastructure

Objectives

  • Manage, plan and direct all aspects of work for a project to ensure it delivers outcomes necessary to realise benefits as agreed by the project sponsor.

  • Apply a structured project management approach and methodology, ensuring adherence to internal frameworks, processes and practices to effectively manage all aspects of the project.

  • Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and resource plans.

  • Identify and manage risks and issues, develop plans to mitigate risk and implement these in a timely manner, measuring effectiveness.

  • Monitor the progress of plans identifying variances early allowing corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner, minimising impact.

  • Organise project teams, assigning individual responsibilities and monitoring progress.

  • Manage change throughout the lifecycle of the project ensuring decisions are made in a timely manner with full knowledge of the impact to outcomes and realisation of benefits.

  • Identify, plan and complete communication activities to ensure they provide information in a timely and relevant manner and clearly communicate the intended messages.

  • Identify stakeholders, develop appropriate plans and complete activities to ensure necessary levels of engagement are maintained throughout the life of the project.

  • Complete project within the agreed parameters of schedule, budget, resources, scope, quality and benefits, identifying and resolving obstacles that would prevent achievement.

  • Provide expertise and leadership in the area of project management ensuring good practices which are fit-for-purpose are being used in addition to increasing the organisational maturity within business areas for project and program management.

Technical Capabilities

  • Proven experience building team rapport and creating opportunities to facilitate collaboration within the team.

  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complexities for a complete and accurate analysis whilst being able to applying complex concepts or tools when needed

  • Strong networking capability; demonstrated experience building networks of influence to support project outcomes.

  • Ability to influence management and senior stakeholders.

  • Aggregates multiple related issues to understand the complete picture.

  • Demonstrated experience of capitalising on opportunities that result in improved project value or execution.

  • Proven track record of achieving high performance with a team and promoting continuous learning and advocating professional and personal development.

  • CONTRACT MANAGEMENT (if applicable) - Demonstrated ability to manage and evaluate performance according to contract and Statement of Work or Service Level Agreement.

  • Considerable experience in procurement practices/processes including the development of tender documents, evaluation of tender responses and supporting the contracting process.

  • Demonstrated initiative in driving projects forward and ability to make timely decisions based on facts while managing ambiguity.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide recommendations and tailor procedures based on lessons learned and good practice.

  • Mature approach to creating funding requests (Business Cases, Seed Funding/Feasibility Studies) that clearly articulate the outcomes and benefits desired by the Project Sponsor and other key stakeholders.

  • Proven track record of taking ownership of, accountability for, and commitment to the project.

  • Experience in defining and selecting the most appropriate tools and techniques used in change management to minimise the impact of implementation of the changes created by the project.

  • Develop and propose costing alternatives, identifying trade-offs and any resulting risks.

  • Develop guidance and direction on how project financials will be managed throughout the project.

  • Lead and manage development of and monitor and ensure variances in the financial position of projects are identified early.
