Experienced Quality Engineer (Quality Engineer-General)

Aerospace Composite Center, LLCBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring for an Experienced Quality Engineer to join Boeing Aerospace Composite Center, located in Hazelwood, MO.
This is an exciting position in support of multiple programs including F/15 and F/A-18 within the Air Dominance Quality team. Successful candidates are preferred to have experience in:
- Managing Escape Containment activities (inventory research, escape alerts, DNS, DNR, etc.)
- Primary facilitation for RCCA activities related to PDNs, Escapes and High Scrap
- Utilizing AS9145 APQP principals of FMEA, MSA, Process Control & 8D (AS13004, 13003, 13006 & 13000 respectively)
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
- Provides interpretation of complex requirements.
- Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
- Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.
- Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
- Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
- Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
- Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Develops and implements corrective actions.
- Performs benchmarking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
- Works under minimal direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry
- 5+ years of experience in a Quality job role
- 3+ years of experience in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA)
- Experience analyzing data and generating metrics reports
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ year of experience working in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or in a regulated industry
- Experience leading and executing Advance Product Quality Planning Activities (APQP)
- Experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS91001))
- Experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; and developing conclusions
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
