Description
PromptCare is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist to join our team. As a pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications by our patients and will be responsible for the operations and safety of the pharmacy, including compounding, dispensing, scheduling, purchasing, distribution, quality improvement and regulatory compliance. Job Type: Part -Time, 24 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:30pm
Location: Royal Palm Beach, FL
Requirements
- B.S. or Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required or Registered pharmacist license if foreign graduate.
- Active Florida pharmacist license in good standing
- 1 year of hospital and home infusion therapy experience preferred.
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Building strong one-on-one relationships with your patients while they are recovering or receiving routine treatments and supporting remote patients on a routine schedule and as needed
- Participating in patient evaluation and chart review for acceptance, product selection, device selection and supply management
- Collect, interpret, and evaluate all physician medication orders for therapeutic appropriateness, cost effectiveness, accuracy, safety and completeness
- Review charts and lab results for an assigned caseload of patients receiving specialized, complex infusion therapy
- Monitor the patient’s progress and assessment results to communicate clinical and technical information with the physician and other members of healthcare team. Most patient contact will be on the phone, and, on occasion, you will meet them in our infusion suite
- Communicate routinely with the patient and caregivers, answering questions, gathering information, and discussing updates and course recommendations with the physician
- Directly supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel in the appropriate compounding, packaging, and labeling of medications
- Assist in training and orientation of new employees, performance improvement activities and educational programs
- Additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas
- Other duties assigned
Physical Demands

While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to communicate verbally and listen attentively. The role necessitates the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as needed. Additionally, the position occasionally requires lifting office products and supplies weighing between 20 and 30 pounds.
