We are hiring an Individual Processing Division Manager (Senior Public Service Administrator, Option 1) for our Individual Processing Division located in Springfield IL. This position is responsible for managing, directing, and planning the work of the Individual Processing Division. Essential Functions

• Subject to management approval, as the Individual Processing Division (IPD) manager, plans, directs, coordinates and reviews, through subordinate managers, the operations, programs and activities of a large technical, professional and clerical staff engaged in adjusting Individual Income Tax accounts.
• Conducts and participates in Bureau/Division staff meetings.
• Serves as a full line supervisor.
• Serves as IDOR spokesperson covering assigned scope of responsibility with other IDOR managers, State and Federal agencies, the public, professional and lay groups, and IDOR employees.
• Recommends and implements IDOR rules, policies, and mandates, including but not limited to the Revenue Employees' Handbook, AFSCME/State of Illinois labor Contract, Affirmative Attendance, State Ethics Rules, Illinois laws, and Federal Laws.
• Reviews reports submitted by staff for propriety and consistency.
• Serves as liaison with the Information Technology staff to coordinate and plan projects designed to ensure implementation and/or revisions to automated systems.
• Monitors and analyzes Division training needs.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
• Requires prior experience equivalent to four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience working with current Illinois and Federal tax laws, rules, and regulations with special emphasis on the Illinois Income Tax Act.
