Are you a manufacturing project engineer with a passion for safety? We are hiring a Project Engineer to provide project support within our Fort Payne, AL facility with safety in mind. As the Project Engineer, you will manage projects, programs and functions of the facility and provide environmental, health, and safety support to production and all employees while creating a strong culture that engages employees. You’ll monitor environmental, health, and safety regulations, provide technical support to plant and corporate personnel to ensure compliance with regulatory or policy requirements, and perform professional work to protect or improve air, land and water resources in order to provide a clean environment.

Key Job Functions:

• Assist with aligning site improvement plans to the broader ESG organization through participation in project idea generation, selection, scoping, aligning metrics and project execution.
• Determine project specifications and acquire the necessary materials and contractors for completion.
• Develop scope and parameters for project design and implementation.
• Identify project responsibilities, delegating phases and elements to the appropriate personnel.
• Develop and control the full project-plan lifecycle.  
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors of any schedule changes and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
• Oversee budgetary, scheduling, and project databases, and report regularly on progress as well as any problems that could significantly affect cost or schedule.
• Manage compliance with standards and specifications for quality control and assurance
• Act as change agent committed to accelerating process improvements with the aim of supporting the business
• Successfully manage project timeline, resources and deliverables and regularly provide project status updates to stakeholders and team members.
• Evaluate and support all required EHS training and assist in safety talks with supervisors and team members.
• Conduct the activities of daily walkthrough inspections, audits, task evaluations, testing, training, briefings and reporting of performance measures.
