About the Physical Therapist Role:

As a Physical Therapist at Harbor Haven, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality care in a dynamic and supportive environment. You’ll help residents regain their independence, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life across a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting initial and ongoing evaluations of residents' physical abilities, including strength, mobility, and endurance.

• Identifying barriers to independence and creating individualized treatment plans to improve residents’ mobility, strength, and overall functional independence.

• Assisting residents with recovery from injuries, surgeries, or illnesses through targeted physical therapy techniques.

• Helping residents regain the ability to perform activities of daily living, such as walking, dressing, and transferring.

• Implementing strengthening, flexibility, and coordination exercises to enhance motor function and prevent further injury.

• Educating residents and staff on fall prevention and mobility strategies to ensure safety.

• Recommending assistive devices like walkers, wheelchairs, and braces to aid mobility.

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care and ensure comprehensive treatment plans.
