Position Summary:

Bechtel is hiring a Senior Proposal Specialist as a part of the Marketing and Business Development (M&BD) group for the Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) business unit.

 

The Senior Proposal Specialist will lead and coordinate the preparation, development, review, and finalization of proposal and qualification documents and marketing and business development (M&BD) materials and presentations using Bechtel standard tools/systems/processes (based upon Shipley proposal methods/practices). Responsible for managing and coordinating team and inputs from initial issue to final production and submittal. Reviews proposal content so that it is compliant, accurate, and promotes Bechtel’s competitive differentials and advantages and complies with the customer’s request(s). Performs responsibilities with under minimal supervision with focus on independent development and design of material. Able to work with graphic designers to turn complex ideas and text into graphics. Must have ability to work to strict deadlines, effectively communicate/collaborate with fellow employees, schedule/complete multiple tasks concurrently, and be flexible and comfortable working in a fast paced, results-oriented environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Supports proposal/qualification document development, preparation, and submittal including:
• Incorporating customer needs and issues into proposals responses with guidance
• Coordinating proposal kickoff meetings with the BD Manager and other functional members of the proposal team
• Developing the proposal website for shared use by all proposal team members andmaintaining electronic files on the proposal website in accordance with established procedures
• Maintaining the proposal schedule for all deliverables
• Organizing proposal content received from the functions
• Participating in management reviews of drafts and incorporating comments
• Overseeing the collection and editing of key personnel resumes
• Organizing the finalization of proposal documents for production and delivery including uploading to online portals
• Supports the preparation and development of proposal sections:
• Provides non-technical/generic content for proposals as applicable
• Assist in developing original content based on input from and interaction with the business and determining the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension
• Manages progress and quality of work through frequent reviews
• Provides coaching on the proposal process
• Provides information as necessary to the BD Manager for M
